Roles and Responsibilities
Oversees the establishment and management of strategic food reserves for emergencies and crises in coordination with government agencies and in cooperation with the private sector., while increasing local production, improving its quality and maximizing its contribution to the food security system.
To promote the Bio-security concept which is an integrated strategic approach to analyze and manage risks related to human, animal and plant health to prevent the spread of animals and plant diseases and to protect humans from their risks by controlling infectious and epidemic diseases affecting animals and agricultural pests and prevent their spread.
